‘Chyatiyeko Yathartha’ (Torn Reality)

Join us for the launch of our short documentary, filmed in Nepal to raise awareness of the excess deaths of migrant workers in Qatar in the lead-up to the World Cup 2022.
Enjoy Shahana’s legendary Dahl with lightly seasoned rice, which she is lovingly preparing in support of the event. Payment by donation if you can afford it (all donations go to the Torn Reality charity.
The event showcases artwork created by members of the Nepalese community, both in Edinburgh and Nepal, that express their experiences of the deaths of 6,500 migrant workers that left their home country to work in Qatar.
