Merav Israel: The Feldenkrais Method and Gestalt Therapy
The Feldenkrais Method® is a form of neuromuscular education that improves the person’s posture and movement. It is a holistic approach to healing from injuries and from the consequences of general repetitive movement habits. It can help the student to develop a greater and easier range of movement, better balance and posture and avoid future injuries.
In the individual session, I use touch and sometimes verbal guidance to lead the student into a more efficient way of moving and better organisation of themselves. Through touch, you receive feedback about how you move and what new options are available. A more efficient organisation and use of yourself will enable you to be more comfortable, avoid recurring injuries, relieve pain and tension, and find more vitality and energy in yourself and in what you do.
The sessions are tailored to the specific needs of the client/student and done in comfortable clothes.

Gestalt Therapy Counselling
In my Gestalt therapy practice, I offer a relational, compassionate, creative, explorative, holistic, embodied way for self-exploration and development.
In therapy sessions, I support the development and deepening of awareness with compassion and gentle curiosity to bring forth clarity to your feelings, processes and choices. Though this can be challenging, it also allows you to open doors to new possibilities and choices. It may bring more clarity and a sense of participating more fully in your life.
I work with a variety of issues and I use my background in movement and body processes appropriately for each client.
